Yeah, those darn illnesses just don't know nothin about schedules; or appropriate places to show up.

One of the first signs that I had a brain tumor occured when I threw up...IN MY BOSSES OFFICE. She was cool about it, though. One of these days I'll have to remember to send you a picture of me when they had my head wrapped up. Larsen Whipsnade has seen it; he thought it was a riot.
Any way, stay on your meds and get healthy, we all want to see more from the Chronicles of Woe/ISS Ursula.

Plopl101- send pix as .jpg to the addy ye have in yer possession.

Any of you Arkansas Travellers get down to Shreveport sometimes? We have a budding group of spacers down here, and just wanted to say hello.

I think I am the first one to check out the forums here. I haven't tried Lone Star yet. May have to try it Sunday. Little Rock is about 3.5 hours from here, so I guess Hot Springs may be about, oh, 2.5?

Roughly, Mr Hurricane, as the car drives/ crow flies those are good approximates, barring constrruction on I-30 along the way!

Whoa, ping on the sensors. Hmmm...

Greetings Mr. Hurricane!

Yeah, I've been down that way once; that was my first trip after I had my cancer surgery. Let me think, I believe that was April of 2001. We were enroute to Houston, to see Johnson Space Center, and we stoped off at Bossier City and Shreveport cause up until that time I had never seen the inside of a casino. Been to alot of casinos since then :D

Anyway got to tour Barksdale and see an airshow there. How come WE didn't have base housing like Barksdale?! Base housing there looks like something out of Hawaii. I never had anything like that when I was a brat. Just prefab green apartment buildings that looked like the hotel pieces from the Monopoly game, or little tiny houses with flat roofs that leaked.

Some people know how to live in style I guess.

Anyway, what kinda group you got down there Hurricane? I dunno if I'll be able to road trip down that way this summer, but I'd love to know who's in the neighborhood anyway.

YO! At the riverfront park(off broadway Street exit (north bank of Arkansas river) I will be there tomorrow and Sunday in Ren Faire garb..(thats Little rock)
near the mock-up SCA ship SS briar rose (in red black, and silver, my fav colors)--If ye ken be there, great, if not, see ya on the boards!

FELGERCARB! I'm working this weekend.

However, for those wanting to see the plop in the working environment, I'll be at the Season Pass & ID office at the front gate/guest servivces of Magic Springs. I'll be the biggest guy on the computer up front :D

We have a small group of about 5 guys at the moment. Two are thinking about quitting, while three others are thinking about joining. I guess that will give a net gain. The group is an older group than the other rpg's running around here, except for the two guys thinking of leaving, we are all 35+ years of age. Give about another six months or so to kinda get into the game and we will then see what we have.

Well, we have the magnificant seven now!

the current list of Arkansas Travellers:

Garet, from Springdale
Liam Devlin, from that area between Conway, Searcy, and Jacksonville
Larry, from Conway
Tim P, from Fayetteville
MADDog, from Fayetteville
Hawkwind, from Bentonville

and little ole me, Plop101, from Hot Springs.

I was trapped in Arkadelphia for a year and a half
for a new restaurant opening. A very surreal place - you would never think there were 2 colleges there... Thank goodness Hot Springs was only 45 minutes away...

(For those who live in places with REAL cities, yes there is a town in Arkansas called Arkadelphia - It's main claim to fame was being demolished by an F5 tornado in <?>1990<?>.)

:D
Nice to see there are quite a few of us here...

Arkadelphia is rather cosmopolitain compared to some of the places I worked at. I used to do manager training for a retail outfit; they sent me to such thriving metropolises as Waldron and Perryville.

Too bad I didn't know you were down in Arkado when you were there Maddog. That would have been fun having a FTF traveller game.

<gasp> <gasp>
I don't care what that fool on TV says, I KNOW I saw the little spark of a photon as the oxygen in the air is FUSING together it is so HOT outside...
<gasp> <gasp>
I'll just sit here a second before finishing mowing the yard... :(
Oh yeah...<gasp> love living in AR...
:D

Hah! Just look at it this way MADDOG:
Your losing weight, probably 10 pounds everytime you mow out there. Course, there nothing that says you have to do it yourself. Make it a family event. Get the wife or the girlfriend out there to mow[Just not at the same time; yikes!]. Get the kiddies to do the edging and the cleanup. Put the cat and the dog in charge of fertilizing(something they ought to be good at)! Then just kick back and drink that cold coke and just supervise. Survey your domain, for you are the King of your Domain, the Man of the House, etc. Life is Good.
