All-Star Sci-Fi Ship Crew

Gadrin

SOC-14 1K
Okay the "mainline" thread got me thinking who would make the first team all-stars for the greatest sci-fi starship crew in history:

Pilot: Han Solo
Navigator: ???
Security Chief:
Engineer: Scotty
Doctor: Beverly Crusher
Peon: Wesley Crusher
Science Officer: Seven of Nine
Dead Body on the Bridge: Admiral Ozzel
Best Alien: Tosk from DS9

Well, you get the picture...

What's yours ? Who do you propose ?

CO: John Sheridan
Pilot: Wash from Firefy
Navigator: Mr Data
Security Chief: Michael Garibaldi
Engineer: Scotty
Doctor: Bones
Peon: Zach (from B5)
Science Officer: Spock
Dead Body on the Bridge: Redshirted Ensign Noname from ST:TOS
Best Alien: G'kar

Captain: Okita/Avatar, Space Battleship Yamato / Starblazers
Pilot: Sulu, TOS
Navigator: Chewbacca, SW
Security: Odo, DS9
Engineer: Scotty, TOS (hard to get more iconic than this)
Doctor: The Doctor, Voyager (DS9's Bashir as a backup)
Peon: would O'Brien count for this? Q did call him "one of the little people"
Science Officer: Dr. Carter, SG-1 (she can run any alien technology off a connector cable and a laptop)
Best Alien: Dax, DS9

Best Pilot: Wash from Firefly/Serenity (like a leaf on the wind)
Best Co-pilot: Chewbacca
Best Doctor: Bones (Dammit, Jim, I'm a doctor not a...)
Sexiest Android: V'GER's Ilia from ST:TMP (well, that's a toss up between her and Sean Young in Blade Runner)

Best CO: Adama

Best Pilot: Anakin Skywalker (before or after the lava bath)

Best Co-pilot: Chewie is the best but I think I'd prefer Boomer/Athena for a long trip

Best Engineer: Scotty or MacGuyver (both can do miracles)

Best Doctor: Simon Tam (I like a Doc who has actually does surgery with a knife, not got by sticking a "machine that goes ping" on my forehead

Best Security Officer: Worf (by the book, completely loyal, and very few vices)

Best Science Officer: Spock (of course)

Sexiest Android: Rommie (I love Lexi Doig)

Best Peon: any Red Shirt that doesn't last past the first commercial break

Best token alien onboard: T'Pol (cat suits are like cow bell, you always need more!)

A lot of this depends on ship size and type, its mission. The Serenity crew would be great on a small ship, but not sure they would do that well with a larger ship. For larger ships, I would want somelike like Adama in command. The new Adama. Nothing against Loren Green's Adama, but I just like Edward James Olmost's better.

Being an engineer on a small craft like Serenity is far different than being the Engineer on the Enterprise.

CO: Avon
Pilot: Solo
(can you picture the chemistry between those two?) ;)
Navigator: Chekov
Engineer: Scotty (well, ye cannae change the laws o physics)
Medic: ET (ouch)
Gunner: Luke Skywalker

Science Officer: Dr Who
Security: Predator or Gort
Sexiest Android: Six
Best Alien: The Blob from Dark Star

Best Engineer: Scotty or MacGuyver (both can do miracles)

Sexiest Android: Rommie (I love Lexi Doig)

Best Peon: any Red Shirt that doesn't last past the first commercial break

Best token alien onboard: T'Pol (cat suits are like cow bell, you always need more!)

Seven of Nine could probably qualify for several posts given her Trek-Logic IQ and abilities. She'd make a fine science officer. T'Pol well, she's one fine...er...yeah, that too.

Harper was da bomb in the episode "Harper 2.0" which is one of my favorites, although Andromeda wasn't really to my tastes. They did have some nice subtleties and touches in that series though, but I only saw it in spurts.

Best crew

Captain: J T Kirk
Pilot Capital Ship: Sulu
Pilot Smallcraft: Han Solo
Navigator: Chekhov
Security Chief Investigative: Mike Garibaldi
Security Chief Head Breaker: Aeryn Sun, Peacekeeper, Pleisar Rgt, Ikerion Co.
Engineer Capital Ship: Scotty
Engineer Smallcraft: McGuyver
Doctor: L McCoy
Cook: 'Cookie' UP Cruiser C57-D
Peon: Wesley Crusher
Royal: Dominar Rygel XVI
Science Officer: Seven of Nine
Dead Body on the Bridge: CMO USS Exeter
Best Alien: Chiana
Best Head-case: Toss-up
Best Comic Relief: Londo Mollari
Best Villain: Scorpius - The only villain who ever read The Evil Overlords Handbook

Broke down several categories into subheadings.

Most are self explanatory. Chiana won alien based on her quirky body movements and odd sideways gait, as if the limbs were not quite the same as humans. Plus she's "easy"

Spock lost out on Sci since everything was insufficent data.

Garibaldi despite his infantry background was more a detective than headbreaker, so divided security.

Head cases- lots of these in Sci-fi, Star Fleet brass loaded with them, Col O'Neal was a bit off especially in the movie, But Mal Reynolds and John Crichton were completely out of their minds, they tie.

Can't have a peon w/o royalty.

Many good crews posted. I'd like to mention:
Pilot(small craft) - Buck Rogers
Gunner: Alex Rogan - Last Starfighter
Navigator: Christopher Blair - Wing Commander
Engineering Repair Bot: R2D2 - Star Wars
Steward(es):No names - 5th Element

Depending on the ship size and what type of ship.
Entertainment:
- Singer: The Diva Plavalaguna - 5th Element
- Band: Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes - Star Wars
Hostage Negotiator: Korben Dallas - 5th Element
Additional security crew/boarding party: Leeloo - 5th Element, Alice - Resident Evil, Todd - Soldier, Ripley - Alien, Riddick

I forgot these:

Both from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan

Dead Body on the Bridge: Bones ("What did you think of my performance?")
Dead Body in Engineering: Spock (That was pretty realistic when he walked into the transparent wall like he was blind from the radiation)

God I do this all the time, but I'm the pilot and the crew are all women from TV and film! :)

All kinds of interesting permutations!

yes, it does for some of us. Kira is easier on the eyes, but harder on the nerves.

CO: Dillon Hunt- Andromeda or Archer from ST- Enterprise; could follow Malcom Renolds also, Adama isnt to bad either
Pilot: Large ship- Sulu small ship- Anakin Skywalker
Navigator: Dr. Who (knows the universe and the way around it)
Security Chief: Worf or Scharm (Andorian on ST: Enterprise) or even Kira- DS 9
Engineer: 'Trip' Tucker- ST: Enterprise (as badly damaged as the Enterprise in the Xindi conflict an he kept it flying...)
Doctor: Pholox (I like his use of "leeches" as part of medicine) or Simon Tam
Peon: Wesley Crusher
Science Officer: Carter or Spock
Dead Body on the Bridge: McKay- Star Gate: Atlantis
Best Alien: Thor (the Asgard from SG-1)
Best Android: Andromeda (she is good looking and can fight)

Doctor: Pholox (I like his use of "leeches" as part of medicine) or Simon Tam
I have to disagree in the strongest possible terms. Pholox would have got dropped off on the nearest rock, if not spaced if it were my ship.

It was approximately the 6th or 7th episode of Enterprise, and you had a doctor arguing about NOT distributing a cure for a disease that this one planet's population had come down with. The reason was there was a second species that was about to 'evolve' to the point where they could have their own civilization.

Doctors who are willing to let patients die so their stuff can be inherited, have no business in medicine. I had high hopes for Enterprise but after that episode, I could not stomach it any more. I have no idea what passes for morality or medical ethics on his home world, but it stink.
