Zozer Games Solo Second Edition Review

As a CT, MT, MgT, and T5.10 solo player, I’ve been looking for a game helper like Zozer. Writer’s block while playing and journaling long campaigns (just ask me during Rote to Dzuerongvoe) can burn out a player who can make the mistake of a sudden, drastic, cliff precipice ending that resolves nothing of the plot. It looks more like giving up on the campaign and play. I looked at Star Trader to help with this, but Traveller in all its editions covers Trade and Commerce well enough. What solo players like me need are prompts that feel appropriate to the campaign theme, mood, setting, and action. I’m hoping that Zozer won’t let me down in my current solo play Runt! in MegaTraveller.

Thank you for the write-up! I was on the fence about purchasing the second edition, but your article helped push me over the edge. The sale price helped too. At one point I was looking for options to run a gm-less Traveller game, and played around with the first edition, but it didn't click with me (we instead started using Mythic GM Emulator and it's been working well). I would like to give the second edition a try on a truly solo game of the scavenger campaign. That sounds fun.

Also, I subscribed to your feed and looking forward to reading more articles. I don't get a lot of Traveller stuff through my blog roll, so this is a nice edition. Great work and glad you've made a return to writing!
