World Tamer's questions

I'm having a bit of trouble reading some of the formulas and tables for determining planetary temperature on pages 82-86. Some are just too blurry to read.

Could someone help me out with the correct formulas? Possibly an example.

Specifically I cannot read the formula for orbital period on page 83. I see P = sq root of (D??M) It looks like there might be a notation after D but I can't read it nor can I tell if I'm supposed to add M or divide by M.

Again on page 85 the formula for R=L?sq root D... is that a plus or a divide by?

This section of the book REALLY could have done with more examples.
