Which adventures might be worth collecting?

Hopefully, the new version of Traveller (let us call it T5) will bring about a new type of adventure. One more grounded in just that adventure and mystery. That is what I felt about the first part of LWH and the offerings by BITS but somehow, Traveller just gets bogged down and becomes all serious.

Well, thanks a lot for the info, people... that does sound interesting, and very useful for me personally.

I'm in this new group who seem to be more into short-term campaigns (3 to 6 sessions) using various games (not necessarily scifi) than the long-term, open-ended Trav campaigns many of us are used to.

Doing a classic Marches campaign would almost seem a bit of waste here--I just know too much about it to wanting to be done with it after just a couple of sessions.

Milieu 0 plus LWH on the other hand seems to have less, well, ballast. Plus, the guys like the drama dial turned to 11. And like kafka says, these adventures sound different from your typical free trader ploughing the Main (which I love but which nowadays is an acquired taste for some people). And it's set in Vland? I've never run a Vilani game... cool!

I *almost* like the Elmore covers now. That's a major step for me.

Less ballast, yeah that's a good way to put it.

My preferences run toward the short, classic "Double
Adventures".
