What is next?

Nothing.

That's why they don't want to say it outloud.

I am quite probably wrong, but I'll blather nonetheless, anyway... There is no big conspiracy, but the reality is that SJG has outlived the mess that caused them to desperatly need us Traveller Grognards who buy anything, no matter how crappy, with a statement that it's licensed. They have gotten over the hump they needed to get over - version 4 has finally shipped...

I sincerely believe that G:T will be gone after the GT:IW print run is sold out. Given the way LKW was put out to pasture, this seems quite reasonable to me.

So it goes,

William

I am not sure, I rather see that IW can resurrect the Traveller line with Jon at the Helm. As I can see a whole range of products emerging out of IW and there is also the follow up to Psionic Institutes that might actually be in the works. However, the future will very much be PoD PDFs.

I think I'll quote your own caveat: "I am quite probably wrong . . ." and leave it at that.

^I have come to the conclusion that Traveller stuff is never really out of print. It is just that on occasion there is just a little space between runs. (as he thumbs his new copy of the 0-8 LBBs)

That happend to my brand spankity new copy of RoF the day it arrived. The cover to my GT:FI is only just hanging in there, as is the cover to my GURPS 3e rule book. My 2e hardback copy of GT is still intact though.

Bah.

I was thinking that the deckplans would port straight over.

I have not seen IW, still waiting for it to arrive in Canada via MFLGS, but based on the playtest things could be developed.

A Naval Book centered around advanced ship design and combat rules.

A revised Scouts book with updated system creation rules.

A detailed Vilani book.

Just some thoughts.

I was hoping for another sector book. I liked Rim of Fire although none of my campaigns were set in the Solomani Rim. I was hoping for the GT: Trojan Reach book that was mentioned for a time over a year ago.

I would hope there's "something" in the GT "pipeline" from SJG.

Mike

Although I don't "play" Gurps Traveller I do buy almost all the material produced as I find it very well done. Sector source books would be most welcome indeed

In fact I buy alot of non-Traveller gurps material for the same reason...
