What eateries are in your Universe.

All restaurants are 'Taco Bell'.

Another eatery that's prolific in Phlange sector, 'Ur Moms Kitchen'.
Specializing in comfort foods, such as '? and Beans', 'country fried steak and mashed cattails with gravy'.
You get the gist.

Every starport class C and above is going to have at least some offering that represent the local cuisine for the people who actually work at the spaceports; there may even be places that represent the cuisines of nearby systems. Whether this is the equivalent of a sit-down restaurant, fast-casual, fast food, or street-food may vary.

Any Imperial spaceport is likely to have Vilani cuisine at at least one Solomani cuisine represented. There may be inability to get certain ingredients to a world cheaply so there may be a local variant. Consider the countries that used to be part of the Ottoman Empire: There are certain dishes that are common to all of them, but might be slightly different because of either what ingredients are locally sourced, or because different religious communities don't eat specific things or specific combinations.

Most sizable starport eateries in, say, the Spinward Marches are likely to have at least one place that serves Darrian or Sword Worlds food too, and very likely something that appeals to Vargr travellers.

This is my idea of a low-end class C or class D "starport"

Astroburgers, home of the Corsairburger and the Flame Broiled Death! I recall my Senior Scout Gevaudan Cannagrrh actively searching each Spinward Marches Starport for the local restaurant during layovers, maintenance, and annual overhaul. As a player and later the Referee of the Artemis Group, Astroburgers was the restaurant of choice to place Gevaudan when the ‘abomination’ cybernetic and budding psionicist was not needed for the local Encounters during the Fifth Frontier War. The Gvegh Vargr loved a medium-rare, juicy Corsair burger just as much as any Extents Vargr from Gvurrdon Sector.

Not as much a fan of seafood, Gevaudan did not patronize Zho’s Crab Shack or the rather traditional Shugili Chef, Vilani traditional cuisine for the traditional pallet. He did take a bite of an attempt at grilled Wypoc Dragon after one was felled on the acid mainworld, cleaned, deboned, and thrown on the ship’s grill. Horrid aftertaste.

Returning to Gvurrdon Sector after his exile and transporting his Sister-Dame Qithka home to the Dzen Aeng Kho, Gev saw that the Vargr had taken the hamburger concept from Astroburgers and ran with it, all the way to the bank, such was the success with Extents Vargr.

The M1105 memories…

In researching my compendium of beer, wine and assorted spirits in Charted Space, I came across the Vargr beverages you devised, e.g., kfang and that Goeouaelaets kumis-like drink and kurllo milk. Your Vargr campaign must have been inspired! I'd love to know more!
