So I went to the California Academy of Sciences a few weeks back, and was really astounded by the new Steinhart aquarium. Really a remarkable piece of museum engineering; all kinds of fish in crystal clear water swiming in environments that are very much dupllicates of coral reefs. Incredible stuff.
A thought occured to me, "fish" as we know them, would probably not be the only kingdom of life, nor even perhaps the dominant form, living under the waves.
Any speculation as to what might be down there?
I ask for some brawinstorming because I'm brewing up a Sternmetal Mining adventure that deals with scraping precious metals from the sea floor, their interaction with the biosphere and so forth.
