Wanted: NPC's (Low Passage Manifest)

On the lone K'kree, perhaps he was travelling with an entourage, but was the only one in Low Berth?
Or, as jappel and RainofSteel noted, maybe he is one of the medical patients? You get two birds with one stone, there.
And, I think a Jewish dog wouldn't be hard. Circumsising an Aslan, though, would be something that would take a great deal of ... fortitude.

I suggest hopping over to Tod Glenn's site, www.travellercentral.com, and looking at his Pikhans (sp). Think of a cross between the little makers from "A Mote In God's Eye" and - well, I'm not sure what, but if you read any of his Regina campaign logs you get an idea of the Pikhan attitude. ("Here, I fixed your cigarette lighter. And you can use the high setting as a cutting torch!")

Kodi is the back up saxaphone player for the "Screaming Wacker Nutters".

Ref Note: Fudged the stats on Kodi for CT by trying to see what T20 and CT did with Virushi. So, the T20 rolls for Ursa are pretty much the same for CT as the T20 rolls for Virushi are in CT. Kodi comes out kinda weak; rolled 3 plus a +4 dm for strength. He could wack you with the Saxaphone though...

I'll be doing the game, such as it is, sometime tonight or tommorow, before my next 7 day on period at work. Will let you guys know what happens...
 
It's called "neoteny." Domesticated species often retain features of the immature or juvenile stage into adulthood. Dogs, for example, retain the playfulness and maleable temper of puppies to a great extent whereas wolves generally do not.

Human hairlessness is considered a neotenic feature. Also, comparing human musculature to other apes seems to show some of this effect.

Uplifted bears aren't necessarily going to be half-ton furballs just as humans are nowhere near as big as gorillas.

Well, that was interesting.

The game wrap up... some observations.

1)Never show up at a gun fight with a foil.

2)Always check to see if the low berth is timed to open, and be there when it happens. You'll save yourself alot of heartache.

3)Carousing skill probably won't help you against a deranged psychopath with a SMG.

and finally, the PC's survived, barely.

We have 2 PC's, Danro (a Scout) and Chrissy (a Merchant).
Danro major skills were Pilot-3 Navig-3
Chrissy's major skill was Medic-3

More observations:

The pc's only opened pods 1-8. Time issues prevented them from opening the rest. They didn't check to see if the rest would open on a timer, so I opened pod 10 and turned him loose. Hence, the ensueing gun battles. The noble, the priestess, and the acolyte all bought it in the fight, although the noble did get some damage in. The final gunfight involved Captain Nashu with SMG vs Danro with Snub SMG. One shot each, Nashu missed, Danro didn't.

The pc's were involved in a race with another scout who was a friendly rival (named Festus Aakamer). Neither scout ship was armed, so it was a simple race to get to the derelict first (used Starship Operating Manual for this)

The pc's managed to get the ship fixed and moving just as Festus' came out of J space. An attempt at hostile docking was made, but foiled.

The water farmer turned out to be a real pain in the tuckas; she was totally uncooperative.

Sinzarmes had a boarding party on Festus' Scout ship, but they never came into play because of the failed docking attempt. The PC's were able to claim salvage rights for the ship, and they forced Sinzarmes to pay up, primarily because Danro being in the scout service (IMTU, income made from operating a detached duty scout ship is split 50/50 with the Imperuim. Sinzarmes knew better than to skimp money due to the Imperuim). On the downside, Sinzarmes is now highly annoyed with the PC's.

One big issue that the pc's solved was taking care of all the bodies. Remember that we had originally about 30 dead crew and passengers originally. Chrissy came up with the idea of using rescue balls as expedient body bags, so they managed to avoid the bad smell in the starship issue.
 
Nice write-ups! I'm sometimes amazed at the amount of back ground work a lot of you guys go through to prepare. I tend to play fast and loose with "extras". My version would be ..
"Bob the passenger - pistol-2, random skill -2, what ever I'm in the mood for at the time - 1,"
To many times the PC's don't do justice to all the preparations by ignoring or just missing obvious clues, and by doing things that are completely unpredictable. Still, I would keep the list and use it in other settings if it ever comes up. Even if you need a few random low passengers, you already have a list. Just roll a 20!
By the way, I think I'll start a new link... but how do you get your PC's to "enjoy" all your creations? You sometimes bust you butts for hours and hours prepping for the game, and then they up and go do something completely unexpected, and end up barely scratching the surface of what you had ready for them... any thoughts?
