Vilani world in Deneb

I need a world, preferrably in Deneb but further from the Spinward Marches if necessary, to serve as a source of immigrants to Rethe/Regina in the 7th Century. It must have been settled by Vilani prior to the Long Night, then decivilized to the point of losing its traditional Vilani culture and suffering considerable lingustic drift. (And then, of course, recovered to the point where people can afford to emigrate to a neighboring sector).

I am unable to find much information about it's 1st Imp history, but one which stands out from from the date you mention is Gaashushnu Lii Mur/Lamas (Deneb 1608) - X744255-4 .

In 815 they nuked themselves into oblivion, which gives a reason why you would have a sudden influx of people to Rethe/Regina from here at that time. More so if there were smaller wars before the 'big one' giving people time to get out.

The name (translated as "Valley of the living dead ones") suggests a Vilani heritage.

I was hoping the new MGT Deneb sourcebook might have had more information about pre-Imperial settlements in Deneb. I don't have it myself.

Those would all be freelancers, if Vilani. The ZS itself barely touched even Corridor, and that zone was too close to Vland for the trans-border shenanigans the bureaux were pulling along farther borders.

V&V cites a "rogue Vilani governor" in Corridor with giving the Vargr a map into ZS space, so it is certainly possible that there were smaller groups scattered across Deneb and not just the big efforts like Mora.

That said, the MGT Deneb book shows Imperial presence in Deneb by 100 or so, making a light scattering of old colonies to follow a distinct possibility. Your lost colony may have been a Twilight colony, spurred by the RoM in its last days but occupied by Vilani.

There's canon to that effect. Vilani and Solomani expeditions were all over Deneb and Trojan Reach from -2300 to -1700. No specifics, though. I corresponded with Rob Eaglestone about that when he was gearing up for writing MGT's Deneb sourcebook, so I had hoped he'd touched a bit more on pre-Imperial settlements in his writeup.

I just need the name of a suitable world, one where people won't come up to me and say, "Hey, that's contrary to what it says here!"
