I like books with pictures in them. Particularly military history books featuring accurate depictions of arms, armour and dress appropriate to the period/subject (e.g. anything from Osprey). Can anyone point me toward a Traveller resource (in-house GDW stuff or otherwise) that depicts the uniforms of the Imperial Fleet, Marines or Unified Armies? There are some decent descriptions out there (notably from MJD's GT "Ground Forces") but I'd really like something on the order of what FASA used to do with its Battletech faction books, which featured colour inserts depicting various unit colours and uniforms. Any ideas?
 
Well, Osprey are faily good (I have about 40) but a specialist can usually find fault in any one of them. I have found errors myself.

This sounds like a fun project, but I doubt the vision would match my own preconceptions.

Nah that was the server. I rebooted last night and forgot to reset the date (it is fixed now).

i belive uniforms will be bioenginered, rank,medals,ribbons, and other attachments will be "grown" right into the "material". they will be nonstatic, forever pressed. forever clean, edibal, disposiable, whole cottage industries will be develoved (farming of uniforms) home grown
in all sizes, shapes and colors and designs. according to Rumor you can even smoke them!!....also each uniform will be micro-chiped with a whole range of "micro" weapons!!!! just turn point,look and fire!!! (i killed him with my collor!!!) can even be use as an emergency Vacc Suit!!! and they Never retain B.O.!!! :rolleyes:
