Welcome to the new COTI server. We've moved the Citizens to a new server. Please let us know in the COTI Website issue forum if you find any problems.
We, the systems administration staff, apologize for this unexpected outage of the boards. We have resolved the root cause of the problem and there should be no further disruptions.
JZ of SJG stated somewhere on these pages that it would not go ahead, but he also stated that it was nothing to do with DGP/Roger Sanger copyright issues (that nips any rumours in the bud, ok).
The Trojan Reaches sourcebook was dropped well before the 4e/format changeover. It appeared the Aldebaran book was dropped as a result of the changeover.
However, the Swords World book did come out, and I find that more useful for my games...which, except for one brief foray into a Hierate, have always been in the Spinward Marches.
I do ageee that the TR book would have been good, though.
Yeah I agree, I was really looking forward to the Trojan Reaches and Alberran books. I like Jon Zeiglers Rim of Fire a lot. I'm surprised that the sector books didn't sell better. I still need to pick up the Sword Worlds book.
I received my Rim of Fire book yesterday. It is a really good book and will help with a campaign (set during the Solomani Rim War) I would like to run. Who wrote and who published the Sword Worlds and Spinward Marches sector books?
Behind the Claw (Spinward Marches) was not as well received due to its format (lots of brief entries) and tone (sort of an anime style.) It was written by by Martin Dougherty and Neil Frier and is out of print.
I have the Travellers Digest issues that have the Trojan Reach information in them. I just prefer having more info instead of developing my own
I liked the GT sector books and the way they developed the systems. It would be interesting to see the developments in the GT universe for the sectors.
Sadly, Mike has left Traveller altogether and started his own animation company.
As for looking for back issues, if you keep your eyes peeled on eBay they come up fairly frequently. But, keep in mind this write up is not terribly different from the TD.
