I live in Boise...not aware of any other Travellers in the Valley....I ran a brief campaign in the 90's (using GURPs) by convincing the D&D group I was playing with to try it (half liked it, half did not). Unfortunately they have moved away.
I might be a player, if you were interested in starting a group. I am a CT player/ref, a huge fan of Striker, I like High Guard for fleet combats and book2/mayday for simple combats (own "power projection escort/fleet", and have played a few games)...also have most of the MT rules (been collecting over the years, but have not read)...some of the Mongoose rules, and T5 (have not read either). I could enjoy any traveller type scenario, depending (merchant, adventuring, spying, mercenary, noble, etc.) I have a fairly extensive miniatures collection (15mm & 25mm and starships). However, PbM or Online (seen the Roll20 website?) might also work better (more chance to find more players).
Not a fan of the "rebellion" setting (also not a huge fan of the GURPs 1120 setting)...I prefer the CT 1105 setting (the one I know best).
Currently pretty fully booked DM'g a Pathfinder campaign ("Kingmaker"). It is wrapping up in the next 2 months, then I will be a player again (yeah!).
