Traveller miniatures

As I am adapting my own universe with which I can use the traveller rules in, I am going either 25mm GZG stuff from Eureka and using their full thrust line for ships.

em4 is slowly re-releasing the Space Lords line of 25mm figures (25mm in the same sense GZGs and the Grenadier Traveller license figure were). I feel the Phagon Battle Clones make some of the nicest Zhodani troops out there.

No they there, just a He.... Khurasan is a one man, hobby operation. When he gets swamped he has to shut down sales to catch up.

Mail order, what is the problem with that?

No retailer discount. His margins are too small, lots of small producers are in the same boat. Sadly I have to sell products that I can make money on to keep the doors open. As it is I focus far too much on the cool stuff and far too little on the popular crap. Oh well, it just bugs me that there's such a sweet line of figures that I can't make a buck on to pay for my own purchases.

That I can perfectly understand.

Yep. And especially true in niche markets. One would think that Science Fiction would be more popular than it is in the Miniatures market. 10 years ago 15mm SF was basically dying, so all of my noise making and pushing has paid off, but it is still a niche of a niche market. The funny thing is that there is more variety and selection in 15mm SF than there is in 25mm+

I recommend having a look at the Ventauran's done by Eureka Miniatures: I've got some of these and the casting is crisp and the figures well done:

Another lot who do some nice 15mm sci-fi figures are Khurasan:

But if you want Imperial Marines, these guys may not be perfect but they're definitely heading in the right direction:
