Well I'm several hours away from the Youngstown region but there are some folk near Erie, PA...hmmm that's not much closer >.< . IIRC there should be at least one or two decent comic/gaming shops in the area but it's been a few years now.

If anything else I suggest seeing if you can make it to Origins held in downtown Columbus every year.
