Traveller D6

Hi,
Not sure if this is where Im meant to be for this but here goes.

Im writing a set of guidelines for using the D6 system as per the venerable Star Wars rpg.

I've written up my ideas on char gen and combat (including the weapons stats, but Im still tinkering with those) but could do with some help and or feeback.

Any takers?
 
Thanks chaps, soon as I tidy it up Ill mail it out. I have to finish a play test report for Gumshoe which has fallstalled the project somewhat.

Hopefully Ill get it out 1-2 week december
 
Funny, a friend and I have been talking about grafting D6 Space/Star Wars d6 onto CT for the last week or so. Did you ever end up making any progress with this? I'd be interested in trading ideas.
 
I know how I'd do it... just look at EABA for inspiration.

(Integer(Stat/3))D6+(Modulus(stat/3)) +1d per CT skill level.

I'm quite fond of EABA's 3-13 adult healthy human stat range, with its 7 norm, as a close match to Traveller's 1-15 human stat range.

I'm also fond of EABA's "Roll many, keep 3" mode, which puts all TN's in the 3-20 range. As a mathematical dodge, EABA allows swapping out one die (before rolling) for a +2.
