//// Original rules ////
Freight consists of paid shipments of goods. Cargo is purchased at the sourceworld and sold at the destination world. Determine the available lots from the table. Roll once in the major column, once in the minor column, and once in the incidental column. For each lot, determine its size by rolling the lot size
AVAILABLE LOTS
Lot Size: Major Cargos:1D + 10 Minor Cargos lD+ 5 Incidental Cargos 1D. Lot size is stated in displacement tons. To convert to kiloliters, multiply by 13.5.
DMs: If destination world Population 0-4, DM-3 If destination world Population 8 +, DM + 1 If any crewmember has Liaison skill, apply it as a + DM on the roll for minor cargos. DM + (sourceworld TL minus destination world TL). If destination world is red zone, there is no freight If destination world is an amber zone, there is no major freight. If the goods are freight (carried for a fee of Cr1000 per ton) and their identity does not matter, ignore further steps. The sum of cargo and freight cannot exceed the cargo hold capacity of the ship.
This table shows the limit of freight available to a ship in a period of one week. A crewmember with Broker skill may consult this table again once (to find last-minute cargo, but not freight).
//////
Page 50, Step 5, Freight and Cargo (correction and clarification): The sentence “If the goods are cargo (carried for a fee of Cr 1,000 per ton...” should read “If the goods are freight (carried for a fee of Cr 1,000 per ton...” Lot size is in displacement tons. To convert to kiloliters, multiply by 13.5. Or, for lot size into kiloliters directly: Major Cargos:150+(1Dx10). Minor Cargos: 80+(1Dx10). Incidental Cargos: 1Dx10.From the note under Step 3, Freight and Cargo are determined separately in Step 5
////// Questions ///
Q1. How many times can we roll on available lots table? Roll twice in the major column for major freight and cargo, twice in the minor column for minor freight and cargo, and twice in the incidental column for incidental column for incidental freight and cargo. Is it right?
Q2 . How determine the freight size?
Q3. Does the destination world population DM apply available lots of cargo? We don’t know in where does the cargo be sold.
Q4. How many times can crewmember with Broker skill roll on available lots table again? Roll once in the major column, once in the minor column, and once in the incidental column. Is it right?
