tons to kg conversion in Striker

Anybody know the definition of "ton" in striker?

Maybe I'm too lazy, but I didn't see them define it in the rules.

Look at the examples; it is used only for masses, and all measurements are in metric.

In the interface with Traveller it references 14 cubic meters, IIRC.
