TML Down

Dear Jim -

It's on the same server(s) as this website, and so crashed at the same time as the CotI forums did. My assumption is that that portion of the server is still not up and running:

Is the TML going to be resurected? or has it passed into the great beyond? Should we raise a toast to the absent friends to whom we have been so abrutly cut off from?

I'm still trying to contact Hunter and find out the status of the server and the mailing list software. A week ago he said getting the TML back up is on his list of things to do after the crash, so that's good. He's had business-related things to fix first, and that's understandable. And then the Thanksgiving holiday. We have to be patient - but I know *I'm* getting eager to see it back up and running.

We (Tod and/or I) will certainly let the TML subscribers know if/when the list is back up. The problem is - we don't have a current subscriber list. Once we can get back in to the server, we'll at least get that and send proper notices to everyone. I tried sending a notice on the problems shortly after they happened, but I only had a list of about 80 subscribers that had posted in the last month. I'm working on a larger list (I've got 367 addresses that have posted from 2004-2006).

Rob,

There are some members of the TML that have not posted during that time period but still read the TML.

Some reasons being that my email is @sbcglobal. net and at one time emails with that at the end were being rejected.
