It's TL-6.5, mostly.
Fold-down wingtips and underslung engines, riding on the engine inlet shockwave -- these are a straight rip from the North American Aviation XB-70. (Wikipedia)
Flew in 1964.
Not that this is a bad thing, mind you.
One of the prototypes was destroyed in a collision with a chase plane. Project was cancelled because the paradigm of "fly so fast and high they can't track or hit you" (valid up through the early Jet Age) became obsolete.
Still pretty dang awesome.

TL 8 is null grav modules and fusion power plants.
Yeah ... it is a tough pill to swallow, but we are STILL TL 7.
Traveller had a GIANT LEAP at TL8 and another at TL 9 ... so don't hold yer breath.
