Interesting light source for a ring. It means it is probably a Banks Orbital or a Halo, since a Ringworld should be lit from the center.

possibly. from what I understand ringworlds are not really all that stable. so maybe a smaller one would be easier. but we are digressing from art appreciation. I *think* there was a ringworld thread somewhere here.
