• Welcome to the new COTI server. We've moved the Citizens to a new server. Please let us know in the COTI Website issue forum if you find any problems.

This will be in the Imperium

FYI, folks, the URL itself has misleading information in it. The page linked to is in fact the page for the video BG describes. Not that *I* can get the video to load.

I got several of the video's to play.

Interesting about the cells.

I think the problem with the loading of the video is due to the ads.

Hey Aramis; well, it's Reuters. They just deliver raw news, and don't really offer much commentary. Which stuff is misleading? I'll see what I can do about bringing it to Reuter's attention.

*EDIT*
I double checked the link, and the only ads I saw were under this section; "More from Moments of Innovation channel sponsored by Cognizant" The rest are links to other Reuter's news' stories as far as I can tell.

Spoiler:
it includes "reuters-tv-france-bombs-islamist-stronghold-in-nort"...

Not seeing it. I think the "You May Also Like" section under the main window loads a variety of stories with each reload of the page. You might have seen it there.

But the story about the cells is pretty cool.

Go hit EDIT on your original post - look at the actual text of the URL you copied. And be glad I took the time to check, because what showed up looks VERY political.

Wow, I didn't even know. I was just cruising Reuters and came across the science section. Sorry about that. I wasn't even searching for that stuff. I'm guessing it got linked with the google search I did. I don't get why it would do that.

*EDIT*
I changed it by navigating to the science section through their home page. That's really weird how the address didn't change. I don't get it.

I have had some odd moments linking things in various places lately.

First, never do a "Copy shortcut..." or "Copy link location" directly from a search page - it includes all kinds of crap about the original search and such.

Second, some websites have a trick running where, if you highlight and copy some text from a news article, it will copy the link for the page and add it to what you paste. And, sometimes, it tries to insert other stuff.

Also, some websites just put all sorts of hidden bits in their URLs, especially if something is embedded from another site. (That happens sometimes with news bits, but not as often as with ... other things. *ahem* )
