Photobucket does a pretty crummy job of preserving the quality of an image, so on the outside chance anybody wants a copy of this, PM me. What's here is good enough to get an idea of what I am trying to accomplish, however.
Anyway, this is a pretty fanstastic universe, as a cursory inspection of the map will tell you. It is LOADED with novas and black holes, which I still call collapsars, 'cuz it sounds cooler. If you've read any of my stuff on the Vampire Ancients, you'll know why.
I think I have come up with a fairly reasonable explanation for why the players can't get to the center ofthe map, and it is a good set-up, IMHO, for the beginnings of a really neat science fantasy campaign.
Note that while it is set in the universe of the Third Imperium, it is very much an alternate Imperium, not in the way people know that things work, but in what is really going on behind the scenes...
