The Traveller Art Thread - Discussion

Something like this for the basic shape?
(Scout alongside for scale)

More of a saucer in the front with an observation deck and fins where the engines reside. And actually the Scout would be smaller still in comparision.

I'll tweak.

The "observation deck" will actually be the size of a heavy cruiser!

The scout is the right size. The liner is just under 600m long.

If it helps, I always pictured it like that, but with a conning tower/keel aft. Perhaps a vertically aligned maneuver drive? It has the Type J shape, but the fuselage is proportionally much longer, the boom thicker, and the saucer more ovoid. Its a big ship.

BsV/Andrew,

The link (above) that I have provided actually has a few pictures one from a Drake book and other from a lego kit.

Much better!! If you please now add a dome within the larger flattened sphere for an observation deck, more pronounced tail fins, and vibrant colour and it will be perfect.

ANYTHING BUT PINK! Actually, I will go on your good aesthetic sense but something interesting might do the thing. There are details like windows, antentae, weapons, etc. to be filled in.

Andrew... any small chance you might find time to render the ISS Norwegian Blue? Please!?

My campaign has settled on using the Avenger Series Type CF Fast Courier (200dt) as the player group's scouting/exploration ship.

I would appreciate if any artist could render a nice pic! They decided to name it the "Norwegian Blue". Fancy that.... now it has to have at least *some* blue markings or accents on the hull. But I'm not picky, since I don't have any artistic talents myself....
