I think it was Father Fletcher that made the post concerning the potential for the Emperor to be held in the ideal of "God-Emperor".

Well if you look back in human history, various cultures have undertaken various "projects" in the name of their mortal-deity. Either by devotion or the whip. Temples, pyramids, elaborate tombs....

I was thinking, would a massive capitol ship for each emperor be a part of thier legacy??

Would each emperor upon assuming the Iridium throne commision a new capitol ship to be thier flag ship?

Just imagine the 100,000 dt Emperor Cleon!!!

Yes and no. I was thinking more in lines of "Pride of the Navy" type thing. It wouldn't neccessarily be the Emperor's ship. It would be the military expression of his might.

In ancient times kings usually had amongst their regalia a "rod of authority" in peace and a "Sword of annoyted fury" in times of war.

OK, the Iridium throne is the physical expression of the Emperor's peaceful mandate and the ship is his might.

Though if an emperor was a wrestler, the throne can be used as the instrument of Imperial military might!
