The black globe

I just kind of assumed that the black globe was some kind of particle-sized black hole stabilized in some kind of as yet undefined energy field that could make it directional as well as containing it. Perhaps a little bit analogous to how we currently hold antimatter that we manufacture in magnetic bottles.

Due to gravitational effects on the perceived time scale of events, objects in very strong gravitational fields would slow down. If the field was strong enough, you could perceive events of unstable particles with life spans of femtoseconds as hours or years, assuming you have enough energy to maintain a contained gravitational field. I mean, technically with a black hole that time span is stretched to infinity due to the strength If you assume that gravitics are a known technology, then you could potentially contain/use normally unstable particles to create the effects of a black globe.

Similarly, gravitics could be used to nullify the signature of the ship travelling through space-time. I don't know. I'm just trying to figure if the black globe is based on gravitational manipulation.
