dis you guys see the news?? an Austrailian R&D group can now tele-port laser beams from one point to another!!! it was on the news!! opens up all kinds of possiabilitys - real blaser pistols and rifles and cannon!! Beam me up Scotty!! also will make MUCH faster computer chips. neat stuff coming our way!!

The (so far not verified elsewhere nor published under peer review) Australian result is for several billion photon's over about 3 feet I believe. And greater fidelity as well.

*shrug* still not moved any mass, so the Star Trek transporter is probably still out of reach, but the implications if it can be turned into a practical technology for communications and computers are staggering
