T5 Web Apps

At last, an Android user! I already thought about skipping 'droid and WinPhone. So for now I will keep Android.

The next app I am planning is Dice Roller for T5. Ultimately there will be a character generator.
Concerning other editions: There a plans, but nothing definitive yet.

Keep in mind - a lot of people haven't adopted T5 even tho' they have it.
I'm one such, and I'm an android user... but since your apps are mostly t5 specific stuff, I don't have much use for them.
 
Numbers

After 3 weeks (measured independently for each platform) of GunMaker I collected the download numbers. As I said earlier iOS is winning and Windows 8 is surprisingly strong:

- iOS: 120
- Win8: 75
- Android: 45
- WinPhone: 5

You might be surprised by making a BB10 specific one as well... I know 14 of the android ones are BB10 Users I sent to download it! native is preferred but if android is all you want to do....
 
BB is BlackBerry? I never even thought about developing for BlackBerry, I don't even know anyone ever owning a BB. I am going to get a look at it, though.
 
2bugs with gunmaker

on gun maker - you use of ultimate stage grants a +4 to damage but the charts (and not superseded by the errata) on page 253 list the stat changes granted by ultimate stage as

tl +4 mass x0.7 qreBs -2 R=+2 D=2 C x1.4

you also have obsolete listed as a potential stage modifier but the gunmaker does not have this stage (as of yet not superseded by errata)

this may be an artifact that is most makers the changes and stages have both obsolete and ultimate (which is not in armor!maker as per pg272)

Ultimate is most cases of the book is +4 (or -4 to qreBs) in most stat changes which is why I suspect that your system didn't catch it.

otoh - it is hard to argue that Ultimate is better than advanced or modified for weapons maker in most cases if the stage is left as it is written in the book other than the R+2. (which I do admit might make it worth it anyway)

Last Errata I saw (v07.1 and 0.8) says use the master Staging Chart on page 500. Just to keep everyone up to date, even if my crappy iPad can't use these cool Apps, I do want to see them squared away, some day I might have equipment that can run them and then I am going to want them rules correct. :devil:

hmmm drops the R+2 and drops obsolete if using that chart... still issues with the maker then (obsolete would not be an option)...
pg 500 ultimate mod +4 does it work for D? how about R? what does the mod only apply to? Unfortunately pg 500 is even more of a mess.... I like the stage effect of extra range for ultimate but if it is erratad out it's out... :eek:


as per errata document 071 need to get .8: so this may not be accurate

pg 247 does not but does correct table- that is gunmaker does not redirect in the errata to pg 500

pg53 does
pg521 does
pg336,338 clarifies rather than redefines according to 500
pg 341 does

the errata document either missed that or 500 does not replace the staging on page 247

That is what it says on page 1 of the v 0.71 for "pg. 53, Value, Typical Cost Modifiers (Correction): As this table maps to the Tech Level Stage Effects table, the values should match those on page 500.", on page 7 we have "p. 247 Weapon Stage, Sniper and Target Descriptors (correction): The Sniper and Target descriptors should apply both Q=+2 and E=+2."

There are others, but I have things to do at this way to early hour for me. Sunlight, Gak.

The stages are a combination of p.249 (missing Alternate), p.253 (missing Obsolete), and p.257 (missing Ultimate). Considering p.500 I am missing Generic.

My current implementation treats Obsolete like it treats BLANK. I guess, the most sensible thing would be to deactivate Obsolete...

I treated "D=x" as "add x to D1 and D2". Additionally I add D1 and D2 or D1 and D3, if H1 and H2 or H1 and H3 are the same type of damage. So, e.g. the Battle Rifle gets Bullet-2 and Bullet-1 (for Bullet-3) and as Ultimate will be Bullet-4 and Bullet-3 (for Bullet-7).

I asked for clarification of this several months (or more than a year?) ago. As of my current knowledge there is none, yet.

Looking at your later mail, I interpreted R as Reliability, because Range has its own column and no bonus for Ultimate there.
