Welcome to the new COTI server. We've moved the Citizens to a new server. Please let us know in the COTI Website issue forum if you find any problems.
We, the systems administration staff, apologize for this unexpected outage of the boards. We have resolved the root cause of the problem and there should be no further disruptions.
Just curious, Psion. What do you do with the JOT feat? Does it give a skill level of 1 in all skills the first time you take the feat? If so, that becomes a much more desirable, and powerful, feat.

I disagree that it would be all that powerful, especially if it didn't give you a rank in skills that you don't already have ranks in. But the solution to me seems simple enough: it lets you use trained-only skills untrained.
We always had JoT applied to a field or range of activities in the couple of CT games I played eons ago. Combat, or shipboard skills, or admin/trade type skills, etc. Otherwise they were too common and too powerful.
In T20 you could have JoT treated the way Cascading Skills are treated in T5
