Sword Worlds question

Does anyone know if the Sword Worlds language was ever given a name? My sources say "it is a variant of Icelandic, borrowing heavily from other Nordic languages as well as from Germanic tongues and from Vilani." but never tell you what the language is called, and I feel kinda stupid telling my players its called "Sword Worlder".

Anyone?

It's called Sagamaal. (The 'aa' stands for the Scandinavian vowel 'å'. It's not a long 'a' or a diphthong). I've no idea of how to convey the sound to an English speaker.

Thanks Hans. I appriciate the information.

I also understand the pronunciation, as I speak more than just english, and spent more than my share of time in that part of the world. Danke.

å is similar to ä, only it is an "au" as opposed to an "ae".
