OTU Only: Sword Worlds Admirals

We might say that the Ancients/Grandfather (Yaskodray) was barbaric in how they researched & experimented on 'Humaniti', but from his viewpoint, he has already unlocked the mysteries of space, matter, and energy, and was probably working on unlocking the mystery of time when he discovered these possibly intelligent tool using creatures who had no known psionic ability who he rightly considered barbarians next to him and his people (300k years ago, we were using pointed sticks & clubs for weapons).

Humans couldn't have been the only possibly intelligent tool using creatures Grandfather or the Ancients discovered, but from what we have been able to discover so far, we are the one that he/they spent much time & effort studying & experimenting on. Can't help but wonder what was so different about us that it required so much attention.

Now here we are during the 5th Frontier War, which wouldn't be happening if the Ancients hadn't sprinkled Humanity across the stars, one of these transplanted humans being the Zhodani, while discussing the Admirals of their allies, the Sword Worlders.

Grandfather could see the future, he built a machine that could be used by others that could provide glimpses.

For some reason he thought it necessary to transplant humanity all across his region of the galaxy, and uplift wolves and transplant them to even more worlds...

I wonder why he thought this necessary?

What do humans and vargr offer that his synthetics and droyne couldn't be trusted with?

(I felt that Trust muddied the waters too much.)

I think it's kind of amazing that Grandfather was able to look outside his cultural bias and see some kind of Grand Purpose that could be filled with the presence of Vargr & Humans in the mix. Talk about taking the Long View!

Nice way of trying to bring the thread back on-topic!
