Spinward Marches Nobles, part 1
This is not the most up-to-date version of this list, as my newest computer is currently on the blink.
Noble families of the Spinward Marches (and adjacent sectors if relevant).
References are in the form [<book>:<page(s)>], eg. [RS:22] means "Regency Sourcebook, page 22".
Key: BtC = Behind the Claw; G = Glisten; IE = Imperial Encyclopedia; JTASO = Journal of the Travellers' Aid Society Online; MTJ# = Megatraveller Journal, issue #; N = GURPS:Nobles; SM = Star Merc; SW = Sword Worlds; TD# = Travellers' Digest, issue #;
Note: The term '2nd parent' refers to the parent that doesn't pass his or her name on to the offspring as their family name. In Imperial society this is not automatically the mother.
Abani: Family to which Duchess Miraii Abani Arahailli of Trin's 2nd parent belonged. [N:18]
Adorania: Family to which Delphine of Mora's father and Luis of Lunion's 2nd parent belonged. [N:18]

* Josephine Hortalez Aella, Countess of Efate.
* Fiorella Havasu Aella, wife of Duke Willem of Regina. [N:93]
Aledon: Family that holds the Duchy of Regina. [N:93]
* Caranda ? Aledon, 1st Duke of Regina (7th Century).
* Nobert ? Aledon, great grandfather of Norris (turn of the Millenium (described as young in 996)). [AR1:78]

* Unnamed sibling of William and Norris (see Garhik). [MTJ3:13][*]
* Audine [Aledon?] Garhik, nephew of Norris. [MTJ3:13][*]
[*] As there has been no hint of a third Aledon sibling anywhere. I suggest that Garhik is actually the son of a cousin of Norris' rather than a brother. [HRM]
Alkhalikoi: Family that held the Duchy of Rhylanor in 600. Arbellatra, 3rd Duchess of Rhylanor, became Empress in 629. [The duchy was obviously alienated from the family at some later date, maybe in connection with Arbellatra's reforms?] [N:88] (Also see 'Sadek').
* Anton Royden Alkhalikoi, 2nd Duke of Rhylanor. (?-602)
Arahailli: Family that holds the Duchy of Trin. [N:18] It has ruled Trin since it was settled. [BtC:123]
* Miraii Abani Arahailli, Duchess of Trin. [BtC:123; N:18]
Astaarte: Family to which Avaraja of Glisten's 2nd parent belongs. [N:18]
Bolden: Noble family one of whose members married into the Tukera family around 950; the family name was changed to Bolden-Tukera. (Alos see 'Hayashii') [N:106]

* Jorge Hayashi Bolden-Tukera, 18th Marquis of Aramis.
* Leonard Fratelli Bolden-Tukera, 19th Marquis of Aramis.
Bryor: Family to which Army Vice-marshal Adam Lord Bryor belongs. Unless 'Lord' is Bryor's middle mane, he is a peer. [JTAS9]
Caranda: Duke Willem Aledon's second name, which should make it the family name of his 2nd parent, but it's also the name of a very illustrious ancestor of his. A coincidence?[**]
[**] Here's my own explanation: Albert Shumma Aledon, the 12th duke, married Tara Ling from the Dagudashaag branch of the Lings. Her parents disapproved strongly of the match and made some extremely wounding remarks about backwoods peers and her intelligence. Tara furiously renounced her family and never spoke to them again. Their son Willem Caranda and daughter Rachel Estelle (named respectively after the famous first duke and his grandmother, the first baroness) consequently used their second personal names instead of their mother's family name.
I've made up a familiy tree for the Aledons that can be seen here: http://traveller.wikia.com/wiki/Aledon_family [HRM]
Fennes: Family to which Duke Jarl Fennes, "one of the Emperor's many cousins", belongs. Duke Jarl ordered a
Leviathan class ship (for use as a personal headquarters vessel) from Bilstein Yards. This may or may not indicate that the Fennes family belongs in the Spinward Marches (or Trojan Reach). [L:26]
[I've used the name for the dukes of Arden, formerly high dukes of the Duchy of Vilis, now honor dukes living on Capital after the duchy was gutted in the peace agreement following the 3FW. [HRM]]
Garhik: Family that holds the marquisate of Vincennes and the county of Perez and Eriris [Unusual, bass-ackward, title].
* Audine [Aledon?] Garhik, 1st Marquis of Vincennes and Count of Perez and Eriris (of the ?th creation; the previous holder died without an heir in 1108). Nephew of Archduke Norris. [There has been no mention of a third Aledon sibling of Norris' generation anywhere else, so maybe half-nephew? [HRM]].[MTJ3:13]
Gerasimov: Family that holds the County of Roup. [TNS 228-1122 (JTASO)]
* Evan [?????] Gerasimov, Count of Roup. Married [?????] [?????] Bartoni. [JTASO]
* [?????] Bartoni Gerasimov, daughter of Evan (deceased). Married Terrence Scutos. [JTASO]
Haflore: Family that holds the county of Equus. [BtC:133]
* Corven Haflore, Count Equus. [BtC:133]
Hamil: Family to which Count Steros of Celepina's 2nd parent belongs. [N:107]
Havasu: Family to which William and Norris Aledon's grandmother belonged. [N:93]
Hayashi: Family that held the Marquisate of Aramis from it was created in 631. A Marquis Hayashi married a member of the Bolden-Tukera family and for some reason his son Jorge took Bolden-Tukera as his primary name rather than Hayashi, the name that was, until then, associated the marquisate. The line is, nevertheless, considered unbroken, as Leonard Bolden-Tukera is said to be the 19th Marquis. [N:106]

In 628 the family was charged with extreme violations of Imperial law and exiled [The entire family!]. [MTJ3:5]
Jesten: Family that holds the Duchy of Lunion. [N:18]
* Luis Adorania Jesten, Duke of Lunion. [N:18]
Kantte: Family that holds the County of Hammermium. [BtC:20 & 121]
* Count John Kannte [BtC:121]
Khatami: Family to which Arbellatra's mother belonged. May have held Zivije at the time (And may still do). [N:88]
* Lady Maryam Plankwell Khatami of Zivije. [N:88]
Kirgashii: Family that holds the Duchy of Rhylanor. [N:18]
*Leonard Stephanos Kirgashii, Duke of Rhylanor. [N:18]
* Lord William Kirgashii, younger brother of Leonard. [Since he is a lord he must have a title of his own. Maybe he is Leonard's heir presumptive with the courtesy title of Count Kirgashii?] [N:46]

Neiral: Baronial family. Location is not specified, but the youngest daughter of the current baron is a historian whose favorite subject is the ancient Darrians. She owns a 100T yacht, so the family is certainly rich. Even if the family isn't local, she probably spends a lot of time in the Spinward Marches. [N:134]
* Georgi hault-Neiral, Baron of ? [N:134]
* Elissya hault-Neiral, youngest daughter of Georgi [N:134]
