some deckplans on a bad site.

There's a fairly bad game site (Lots of foul language, personal attacks, hypocrisy, etc) that had a thread with some traveller deckplans linked to it...

I'm still waiting for the punchline where you say it's CotI :smirk:

Just kidding, The Pit tends to make me a bit cynical ;)

USS Saratogo

This has some cool deckplans from Space:Above and Beyond http://www.space-readyroom.de/ Go to English, then database, then manuals/blueprints. So there are deckplans for a really large carrier.

Edit: found the link on the 2nd page of the initial link below.

Dan, I *TRY* to keep the pit civil... and Hunter wants the language, board-wide, kept to PG-13 or so...

No worries, CotI is a haven of sanity and... (what's the word I'm looking for, puritanism?) :)

I only kid about it being anything less. Even at it's worst it's better than just about any other site I frequent. You and the mods do a good job.

As far as The Pit goes, well you don't have to scratch me too deeply to bleed cynicysm but I was going for a laugh point :)

Oh, and Trent, I'm disappointed. You promised "
Lots of foul language, personal attacks, hypocrisy, etc." and I didn't find any of that in the thread...

:smirk: again, just going for a laugh point folks, even a pity grin :D

No, the site I refer to is therpgsite.com, a place where f bombs are tossed about with the abandon of firecrackers on the 4th of july and personal attacks, often referring to people's mothers, are the normal.

Try not to view the rest of the site, just the thread I linked to and it should be OK.

Try checking out the pundit's own forum, his ranting blogs, the off topic forum and other places on the site if you really want what you said you want then.

Don't blame me for what you find...

Oddly, that site is one of the three main game forums I read the most, Mongoose Traveller and this one being the others. I ignore most of the non gaming stuff. The Pundit keeps most of his comments in his section, the off-topic stuff is usually clearly labeled. Most of the game discussion seems focussed on actual play. I try to ignore what I find offensive, and try not to add to it.

That said, I sometimes find the, uh... candor of the site funny. Was it Will Rogers who said, "Anything is funny, as long as it happens to someone else"?

From what I gather, some of the members had been banned from Rpg.net, for what they felt were trivial or arbitrary reasons. They, Pundit foremost, deliberately made the ethos of the site no holds barred. I believe the tough talk is a deliberate choice, a matter of style, and don't take it personally.
