There's something very familiar about them I can't quite put my finger on...

IKWYM! I didn't consciously base it on anything, but I think there's a bit of early hovercraft, Snowspeeder, and original Cylon Raider in there.

Reminds me seriously of the Swordworld Blockade Runner from Golden Age Epic Adventure 1 or 2. (I forget which.)

Hunter's last post was the 26th April, so there might be just the slightest glimmer. However Andrew I have to say you might want to rearange these words to form a well known phrase or saying:

Horse
A
Dead
Flogging

and if that glimmer turns into a spark, and maybe a flame, ask for part payment up front. It's a shame because with the Traveller revival a la Mongoose, QLI could have put out some stuff and been pulled along in the slip streem.
