The main settlement and "starport" is a single Forge-class Asteroid Mining Rig accompanied by 10 Type-J Seekers deployed from it throughout the system. The smaller outposts are mostly survey stations that map their respective moons in detail. However, the outpost on Alpha Pictorii IIIc is also constructing colony facility to house 5,000 new colonists (ETA 2405), and the outpost on Alpha Pictorii IVd is working on the construction of a 1,000-person mining colony (colonist ETA 2403), as that moon's frozen water includes several kinds of useful (and profitable) organics.
The mining rig transfers all of its proccessed ore output to a bi-weekly T-Y-C ore frieghter to Ross 193. The rig will not trade, but will sell refined fuel, life support provisions and simple spare parts at 150% standard rates (that's what you have to pay if you wander into the frontier without a functional fuel scoops and/or life-support provisions; monopoly rules here). However, there is an extensive black marker around, trading stolen ore for luxuries, drugs, alcohol and weapons.
