So... this is a thing (Traveller After Life)

The novel Agent of the Imperium has the Dakhaseri-a sort of space heaven (or hell, or limbo). I want to write an adventure for dead characters to explore the Dakhaseri.

In a universe with psionics, reality manipulation, personality recordings and probably other stuff that I have missed then my guess would be the Dakhaseri is a repository for the personalities/souls that somehow mange to find a way to be uploaded to it, either upon death or through encounter with the primordial tech.

There could be relic tech left over from before the Ancients that harvests these imprints, or you could go full on Night's Dawn and posit that sophonts do indeed have a psionic soul of sorts that can make its way through higher(jump) dimensions to the Dakhaseri repository.

This could tie in well with my war in the heavens between the truly ancient races that is the backdrop to MTU interpretation of this stuff.

Abyssals, the Dakhaseri, the core race(s) all make Grandfather look like an infant on the galactic stage.

Now all I need is to work out how the black ships fit in - soul harvesters perhaps?

It is already an option if you don't use the optional failed survival roll rule from CT :)

Then again I could dust off my Wraith and Orpheus stuff...
Wait a second. If you continue through chargen as a zombie or wraith or whatever, and die again, does that mean you come back to life?
