Small Ship Actions

This and her sister ships like the Childs would make great models for engagements with smaller Traveller warships.

Tabular Records of Movement, or TROMs, are great ways to dig up hundreds of "small" and otherwise forgotten actions in both world wars. You can find TROMs for the WW2 IJN here.

During both world wars, there was almost daily/nightly fighting between British and German forces in eastern approaches to the English Channel; the so-called "Narrow Seas". The Adriatic saw light forces routinely in action during both wars as did the Aegean and Southwest Pacific in WW2.

Finally, if you can find them, a set miniature naval rules titled Coastal Command is a good source for WW2 small unit actions.

Love the "Fly" Class name! Great models for system defense boats. Were there similar Axis warboats?

The British were mainly fighting the Turks in the lower Mesopotamia, there were however some German advisers. The Turks had some steamers but nothing as specialized as the British. The gunboats supported a lot of infantry attacks and provided defense fire for bases.
