A Bilstein experimental design, the Gashiiri-class jumpboat is a radically undertonned starship hull. It requires a 50-ton fuel Pod to be attached in order to bring the ship's volume up to the required minimum of 100 tons. Separated from the pod, the boat is capable of 3G acceleration, but only has fuel for a 1 parsec jump. With the pod, the boat is capable of jumping up to 5 parsecs before needing to refuel.
Bilstein is also prototyping a version of the Gashiiri which is exactly 50 tons, increasing its non-Pod performance to 4G.
