Okay, when was the last time you bought an rpg product that didn't have errors, ommissions, ect.

And you didn't even have to pay for this one ;)

Thanks for letting us know Matt! Its just in time for my post Winter semester game!

So far this campaign seems very railroady to me (though that aside, it is better than the original campaign IMO). This is not the first time that I have seen "if the players do the wrong thing, they will be instantly killed/rounded up/captured" mentioned in one of these adventures. This sort of bludgeoning of the players seems very dated nowadays.

e.g.

Spoiler:
Pg 3 - "Shortly afterwards, the Droyne custodian (see page XX) tracks down the characters, no matter where they are, and paralyses them with a high-gravity field."

And the part where Grandfather shows up and they are practically forced to prostrate themselves in the presence of His Awesomeness.

Another example from a previous installment (the gas giant one) was they had to NOT surrender to SEVEN or their ship would just be destroyed out of hand and they would all be killed.

I do hope that the next installment is not a boring monologue from Grandfather, and I hope that the players are not reduced to spectating Events Beyond Their Understanding either. Those were two major failings of the original campaign IMO.

It does railroad in parts, I'm afraid. It's the nature of a continuous-narrative campaign where I have to get the PCs to a specific end point so the next episode can carry on. (Plus, the power level involved means that the characters are going to be overwhelmed at times.) The second half is a bit more open, and if I get to do another campaign like this, it'll be more episodic.

I'm not sure its possible to do a published campaign that won't seem railroady to someone just because you have to proceed though the individual adventures somehow. It would be daunting, if not downright impossible, to write something entirely freeform which still takes you from Point A to B to C . . .
