Savla Zarrere, Free Trader

I ran up the following Free Trader character with MGT:
Savla Zarrere, human, Experienced Trader (4 terms, age 34 - self-imposed cap as I prefer a fairly low-powered campaign); 695BB6

I rolled her up a homeworld first:
Aibeah B6249DC-8; Industrial, High Pop
Government: religious dictatorship

I rolled for factions and came up with Charismatic Dictator (Fringe support level) and Captive Government (Minor support level). I rolled for a cultural trait and came up with Fusion, which turned out to be Sexist and Recovering.

Putting all that together I came up with the idea of an authoritarian, conservative religious dictatorship, where women are expected to remain in the home, and tensions are seething after the violent repression of protests. Some elements of the population openly look for foreign intervention to overthrow the regime, and an ex-general is gaining support. Savla's high intelligence was recognised by her parents, who educated her to the best of the family's fairly modest means. But seeing no opportunities to put her brains to use in Aibeah's repressive society, Savla signed on with the first free trader who would take her.

Savla's 4 terms as a Free Trader left her reasonably prepared to face whatever the galaxy might throw at her. Her highest skill is Broker-3; she has a bunch of trader-relevant skills like Astrogation, Spacecraft Pilot, Steward all at 1; Laser Pistol-2; and some randoms.
Savla came away from chargen with 6x ship shares, a gun, some attribute enhancements (as it were), and Cr40k (having spent 5k to regain a lost point of STR due to an unlucky aging roll).

I rolled a Relationship for Savla in her first term. I decided to roll some traits for the NPC from the random encounters tables and came up with... Religious Leader. Savla somehow managed to get herself involved with a junior cleric from Aibeah's regime.

As I don't have a group, I've started using the Mythic GM-emulator tool to do some solo play. If you're not familiar with it, you basically roll d100 3 times to determine an event focus (e.g. New NPC, or Move away from a story thread), a verb and an object.

I just set up my opening scene, with the vague initial premise that Savla has struck out on her own as a free trader and is looking for work at a back-end world in Aibeah's subsector. I rolled Focus of "New NPC", with the verb/object combo "Punish Emotions". That straightaway suggested that Savla's old flame had returned to the scene (arguably stretching the definition of "new" NPC, but anyway). Given the negative overturns, I decided the cleric, by now a considerably more senior figure in the regime, needs Savla's taxi services - but would strongly prefer their affair to remain secret from his entourage. However she feels about that, Savla needs the cash he's offering.

What for? I decided to roll again on Mythic's events tables and came up with "Move toward a story thread", and "Carry Information". Clearly, the cleric has important information to carry back to the homeworld.

Being my own Referee, I am toying with the notion that the cleric is involved with one of the dissident movements mentioned in the previous post, and is carrying information they need. No doubt there will be complications...
