Ruler of Five and Opposition Alliance

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has ever seen any info on the vargr states Ruler of Five and/or Opposition Alliance beyond the dotmap. My searches have come up empty, though I did find some Challenge material written by Mike Mikesh regarding the Empires of Gashikan. While it's next door, Mike primarily focused on its relationship with the Julian Protectorate.

I figured that I'd see what was official, if anything, before I went through the trouble of writing up background info for either polity.

There was a HiWG fanzine called "Kfan Uzangou" addressing the Vargr Extents, with sector analysts. I have a copy with some names and old addresses. Perhaps they can help with info back in the day.

I wrote, in the wiki, an alternative to the Opposition Alliance polity in Knoellighz Sector, but it has not been implemented yet. There are duplicates of Opposition Alliance, Society of Equals and Antares Pact.

I'm guessing that you mean for it to take over the Vo allegiance code.

The Opposition Alliance is in Meshan sector, 4 sectors trailing and one rimward of Knoellighz. Perhaps OA can be used rather than cannibalizing one of the existing V# codes.

I just noticed that there are two Opposition Alliances! I'm sorry; my bad! Apparently, somebody goofed on the original data that Mr. Bell used to create the map.

Yep. I think we noted (in one of Pakrat's other threads) that there are duplicate two-letter allegiance codes (VA and VO?) used in the Vilani and Vargr dotmap, and the key isn't clear which the name applies to.

Practically speaking, sector data just needs to define the codes because they are not unique across charted space. (And T5SS data uses unique 4-character codes)
