Robject-inspired ATU Project

In a MGT thread, Robject suggested an ATU thread, so here it is. I'm sure he meant for an existing one to be revived, but what the hell, let's start a community project.

Location: A Galaxy far, far away

No Earth, Vland, Zhodane, Aslan, Vargr, etc. New setting totally.

General Background starting point: There are at least two races, one old and one new. They collide, but are not currently at war. Just hostile glaring at each other.

BTW, Humans here are not necessarily human to the nth degree biologically, but satisfy the basic requirements so the same Traveller rules apply.

Will someone step up with more?

Almost forgot - this setting should be system-less, so everyone can use their own favorite or not so favorite ruleset.

For ships, this is a small ship universe, so if using LBB2/MGT, go ahead. If using HG/MT/TNE/T4, ships should be limited to 12,000 tons or less.

The aliens are a newly emerged species, recently discovering jump drive. They are fiercely territorial, explorers and warriors intent with land hunger. Not Aslan, but reminiscent of the younger sons going out to fight the Crusades and create their own kingdoms in the Holy Land. What if the Holy Land was a parsec away and you had to wait for the jump drive to satisfy your land hunger.

Meanwhile the humans could have their peaceful long settled and stagnant human federation full of corruption, nepotism and ingrained cultural ideals. And they are about to get a violent and energetic kick in the teeth.
