Quick question about Mystical Order career

In the Psion book, it says that at Mystical Order Rank 5, you get something called "Symbol of Authority" is this referenced elsewhere or is it just a flavor thing? I couldn't find it in the core rules or in the Psion book.

Who would it be authority over? Other psychics, the general public, what? Also, is it an official endorsement of authority, like a police badge, or a symbolic emblem that people tend to respect as authoritative, like a fancy hat?

I think it's more like a Ducal Signet Ring or a Super Secret Decoder Ring or a Lapel Pin or something like that.

What makes a Jedi recognized as a Jedi?

Their lightsaber. An easily recognized and practical (for certain situations) symbol of their authority.
