Question regarding 1248 Scout/S deck plans

Anyone here pick up the 1248 supplement (either in print or from commstar games) for scout ships? It includes the Scout, Seeker/J, X-boat, scout cruiser, and X-boat tender.

Now, my question arises from the deck plan layout of the scout/seeker/x-boat (each sharing essentially the same hull type); it just seems lopsided. The right 'wing' extends out a good 1.5m further than the left and I'm having a hell of a time modelling it . . . or should I be allowing for more padding?

Of course, it could just be that I'm using Sketchup instead of Blender . . .

Any thoughts and/or tips?

The wingtips are the same distance off the centerline, but the aft hull lines are off. Notice the bevel-to-flat is 4-4 on one side and 5-3 on the other. No big deal to fix, but annoying, nonetheless.

So essentially the aft air-raft bay should be one tile smaller on the left side?

Basically extend the aft straight line by one tile (1.5m) to the right, but keep the other dimensions the same, right? That makes sense, but I didn't want to start hacking at a 'canon' design just to get it to work with my amateur modeling skills :P

Thanks!

Based on the two pictures we are given, I'd pull in the left side flat by a square, to make both sides 5-3. It cramps the fuel purification by a little, but not enough to lose sleep over. The art shows no obvious corner, so a shallower angle makes more sense.

Of course, I would probably not have interpreted that art as that deckplan, but that's just me.
