Welcome to the new COTI server. We've moved the Citizens to a new server. Please let us know in the COTI Website issue forum if you find any problems.
We, the systems administration staff, apologize for this unexpected outage of the boards. We have resolved the root cause of the problem and there should be no further disruptions.
Ok, how would i answer this if I used Published or web-based maps and then doctored them up a peg?
i usually start by UPP interpretation, then generating the system with Heaven and Earth and going from there. i try to encompass the System entire, rather than just the mainworld. I find it adds a certain dimension to it.

If you take a subsector generated by someone else and use the UPPs to have H&E make the system details to me that is using a published map. But it is your call. I am really talking about ground up original map making.
Ground up, original map making. I'm currently working on a domain using printed off pages of blank subsector, quadrant, sector and a domain maps from the flibrary. I'm using Gateway to Destiny as a guide on what to do, so I guess that means option 4 for me.
Your own domain sounds pretty ambitious. Have you posted any of your maps?
With my new campaign I have been generating subsectors as I need them. So far we have not needed to travel outside the subsector. I have been making my own UPPs and I think I will follow that example of the good Baron and reinstall H&E to do the grunt work of the rest of the system.
