Prestige Class Wind Rider

Eric

SOC-12
Requirements.
To enter the Wind Rider class you must be able to survive the experience. Dexterity 16+, balance skill ranks 5+, and a Reflex save of 6+. This means that you can fly a G-board in a straight line and remain right side up. Upon entering the class a hand full of veterans will give the rookie... ahem, a CRASH coarse on basic flying techniques. The PC gains an automatic 4 ranks in his Wind Ride skill. The character must also provided his own board.

Restrictions.
Wind Riders have a bad reputation in high society. Nobles and serves classes (with the exemption of Scout) cannot enter this class. Hint, most Wind Riders start out as Rogues.

Notes: The Wind Ride skill is based off the class level not the charecter level. A level 3 Wind Rider can only have 6 ranks in this skill, even if he is a level 20 charecter. The PC may begin to use his charecter level after he gains the Veteran feat at the10th level.

This feat allows the character to fly sideways using his board as a shield.

Territorial
Wind Riders can easily develop an intimate knowledge of their turf. The size of the turf varies city to city depending on G-gang size vr’s law enforcement. The Wind Rider receives a +4 to all Wind Riding skill check when on his territory. The character can change his territory at any time but receives only +2 for the first year and no bonus for the first month. If the character changes back to his old territory he may skip the one month familiarizing period and takes +2 for the first six months.

Loving touch
Note, this has nothing to do with your PCs girlfriend. ;)
No Wind Rider in his right mind will let anyone touch the inner workings of his board. However, a G-board requires a fair amount of maintenance and upgrades if desired. The loving touch feat gives the character +4 on all tech rolls involving his board.

Sparatic movement
As per the Ace pilot feat “Unpredictable maneuvers.” The two feats do not stack.

Street smarts
As per the Enforcer feat of the same name. The Wind Rider is familiar with the underside of civilization, and gains a +2 bonus on all Sense Motive or Gather Information checks when dealing with the lower end of the social spectrum.

Ace evasion
as per the Ace pilot feat. Limited to the G-board

Size up
At level 7 the the character gains the ability to size up an opponent and/or situation. The GM can give the player tips on what his chances are in the up coming or current battle. Sizing up an opponent is not like the sense motive skill. This allows the PC to determine things like how much he can take (life blood and stamina points), how much he can dish out, and if he’s likely to be carrying a weapon. How much he can decipher is GM discretion.

Improved glide
+2 on all glide checks.

Fearless
+10 to all will saves when opposing an intimidation roll or any other kind of fear effect.

Veteran
This feat comes with the status name. You are a true veteran of the Wind Riding community. with this feat the PC gains +2 on all Wind Rider class skills and +4 to social standing when dealing with other Wind Riders. This feat also lets the PC base his wind ride skill off his character level instead of class level.

As always I'd like to hear some feed back.
Questions, comments, complaints

Looks great to me on first read. I'm going to play around with it a little, generate a Wind Rider or two and see how they look, and I'll get back to you.

As always, YMMV
