PBP Obsidian Portal Campaign looking for players

My Traveller Campaign Needs You!!

Yes, yes..I know..you despise Obsidian Portal..but if you can work around your hatred, and are interested in joining a Traveller campaign, I am looking for players (2 or 3 to be vague), but not just any players.. here's brief list of what I'm looking to find:

1. Experience or a willingness to learn Mongoose Traveller.
1a (willingness to have the Core Mongoose Rule book, or purchase it)
2. Ability to post at least twice a week
3. Must be team player, and have patience with the GM
4. Has no problem interacting with others, and can separate character posts from reality.
5. Ability to work with the GM, rather than argue every point of minutiae

If you've bothered to read down this far, you may be interested! tell you what..post here that you're interested, I'll check back in a day or so, then I'll give you my email information, and we can discuss characters and background.

I don't despise it the site. Know little about it. From what I do know it is not as feature rich as my primary PbP site.

Probably for me the bigger issue is I don't want yet another web site I have to create an ID and password for and log into daily. My wife already gives me dirty looks (not the good ones) for spending too much time on the computer.

Sure, I would love to play, especially if we can actually keep up that two posts/week. I am in three games here, and GMing a fourth myself, and none manage to do that.

Let me know when I should start thinking about my PC, and what kind of game/setting it will be.

I don't hate Obsidian Portal, in fact will probably be using it myself for a non-Traveller game, but must advise you that as far as I can tell at this point (have not actually forked over the $40 for Ascendant membership yet) it is hard to beat the combination of CotI game subforum plus Traveller Wiki.

As for characters, I've had some PC's drop (or simply vanish, go fig..) so if you wanted to take over one of them, or you can roll up your own, I can let you know what the group may need (currently 3 with myself playing a few PC-NPC's). anyway the address is:

Thanks, but I can't really tell much about the current situation from there. Did y'all switch to your campaign forum for game posts? The most recent thing I can see is an adventure log from a year ago, with people pointing pistols at each other and asking questions that don't get answered.

I think if you add me as a "player" even without a PC in the game, then I can read your game forum and get caught up. (My OP name is... drumroll... SpaceBadger.)

Or you could tell me what is happening now, what kind of PC they might find helpful? More ship crew? Combat guy? Man of Mystery?

Dude, sign up! I did, a few weeks ago. Fenris is cool as GM, but we're lacking in players - as far as I can tell, only me and two others actually active. So far that two posts/week thing isn't happening, but join up and do your part, I'll do mine.

Obsidian Portal is free for players, actually free for GMs also unless you want the good options, which Fenris has gotten, so we're doing it PbP in his Forum on the site. Problem: You can't see the Forum to check it out until you sign up for OP and get Fenris to admit you to the game as a player. That's what he did for me, I looked at what they were doing, it looked fun, so I joined up.

I think we could really use another player(s), especially somebody interested in frequent posting.
