Patent of Nobility Card (where are you?)

My system doesn't rate a County. :(

Lame.

You could use the dodge I use with Count Enoch of Heya (non-canonical) IMTU. Heya is a viscountcy rather than a county (IMTU, that is), but Count Enoch's great-great-grandfather served as Minister of Information and Communication to Emperor Gavin and received an honor title as a count as a result. Strictly speaking he is Count Scutos (the family name), Viscount of Heya (high noble title), Marquis of Heya (another high noble title), and Baron of Yorbund (also a high noble title). But because of his honor title, he is usually referred to as Count of Heya by the ignorant media.

If it makes you feel any better, none of the systems around Pimane rate anything either, except Duale for a Maquis.
Gandr, Drloraw, Tivid, Carey, Meleto, Hexos, Maitz: Nada
The only systems warranting a Count in the area are Fornice, Strouden, and Palique (the latter two of which also rate an f Duke). So stellargraphically, a Count there seems fine.

And remember, this is only by the Noble Lands rules, there can be more (or less) nobles for other reasons.

I will repost mine I believe you missed Reacher

Here are mine:

I did. It's another that doesn't appear to rate any noble by formula.

Updated Spinward Kickstarter Dukes

Duke Karin SPIN 0534 (aramis)
Duke Strouden SPIN 2327 (robject)
Duke Reacher SPIN 3210 (ergodicity) (system does not rate a duchy)

CONFLICT (see other post)
Duke Glisten SPIN 2036 (warwizard)
Duke Glisten SPIN 2036 (bloo)
Duke Mora SPIN (bloo) (Problematic for matriarchy)

Ok, I think I'm replying to the basic question. I have the honour to be:

Count of Khandi (Dagudashaag 2119; A422487-F)
Knight from South (Fornast 0136; A547200-E), plus 1 TAS membership from there.
I also have a TAS membership from Aisha (Empty Quarter 1836, B550563-A), which I'd asked for as a fief.

Trying to rationalize that distribution of family members and assets has set a campaign idea onto a slow simmer.

PS. Anyone else going to GenCon?

Just a Knight, but will progress to much worse (Humour)

I got a knighthood in my real name,

Pierre Savoie
SPIN 2510 DHIAN C9A769D-8

Atmosphere "A"? Okay...
I pledge to develop into a Duke and be one of the worst rulers the Traveller Universe has ever seen:

Duke_Savoie.jpg

"Duke Pierre Aristide Wong Olafssen Biscuitbarrel Savoie the Ninth was known as one of the most corrupt and dissipated petty rulers of the Imperium. He was haughty, self-centered, maddenly detached from the affairs of state for Dhian, a light-weight interested only in falconing, cow-tipping and tabletop wargaming, and had the most extensive (and suspicious) collection of livestock across several worlds. Every time he maxed out his Andromedan Express card (a form of credit for the ultra-rich) to pay off his gambling debts, it meant that (according to the local planetary socialist-syndicalist economic system) over 20,000 peons of the sharecropper class had to live off rice and beans for a MONTH. Naturally, this caused grumblings, and although rebellion was well-contained by Duke Savoie's extensive and repressive security apparatus [Law Level D!], scholars believe it was a possible Butterfly Effect for the Shattered Imperium..."

Raise taxes so they can't afford the beans.

Fewer rumblings that way... :)

Imaah Chehesti, Knight on Vland 1638 Twana
Imaah Chehesti, Vicountess on Spinward Marches 1910 Regina.

I missed a couple:

Imaah Chehesti, Knight on Spinward Marches 1910 Regina

no name, Viscount on Spinward Marches, 1217 Arkadia
no name, Knight on Spinward Marches, 3026 Grille

And, as a bonus for cleaning my home office, I found something Marc sent to me ages ago. It's a paper patent of nobility for a "Knight of the Imperium and the Domain of Deneb", with the world and name blank.

Hmmm... Wonder which planet I should use for that one... Wonder if I could use it for a land grant on a red-zoned planet... :)

So, who up in my hood? :D

So, as The Marquis Malory (Dene 2309 Malory C 420 774-7) and a Knight with a Land Grant on both Salla (Daib 2716 D 310 557-A) and Inarli (Corr 2137 B 677 989-C) just who are my senior Nobles?

I do not want to miss those important functions or invitations. Not to mention who I am sitting behind in the Moot?

Just curious, duties and honor to keep up after all.

Will there be a list published?

When all is said and done with the patent cards, will a list be published of who is what, where?

Good idea.

I chose Dinom (it's a long story) so I don't think anyone will be disputing that with me

Just waiting on my updated card to arrive. It's probably stuck in snowy Chicago at the minute, but will be worth the wait as I ordered 3 extra dice sets too (You can never have too many dice, especially those fine Traveller ones).

I ran Mission On Mithril using CT rules yesterday for my 13 year old son and 10 year old daughter plus my brother. Great way to start the new year. We got about half way through before my daughter got tired and had to go to bed so we are continuing next week.

Happy 2014 everyone.

There's a partial list in the middle of this thread IIRC.

Haven't put mine up yet, as I am still, trying to design the nuts and bolts of the world (Liiri), the estates on Marz, and work out exactly where the "Northen Steppes" will be. :p

And then of course the fights over the 'Blank' patents can begin....

You are designing your world? Great! Would love to see what you have come up with so far.

At this point I have done the system specs, and the triangle map.
The problem is I keep, moving thing around, as I want it to make sense with the trade codes, etc.

Also I have a bad habit of setting it down, then coming back to it a few days later and going "Ugh, this looks like Planet Mary Suetopia", "Hellworld...lets make it look like hell! Red from the M star, Hot, steamy and lots of fiery volcanos...ah, its in the Hab zone and it has Atm 5, liquid water, and it was cliche anyway", "Industrial...hmm..Have a Titan like moon neary by for sucking up hydrocarbons for industrial plastics, damn the GG is too close, so lets move that....". Thankfully, I was careful to make sure there was little/no details from other people over the years.

I was considering doing a world building example (similiar to the Ships by Robject), but that depends on me getting off the pot. :)

I wonder if ol' Grandfather had these problems when building his pocket universe.

Still fiddling with Lemish after, what 6 months now? The first thing I did was dig through the books and websites that I could and got as much info that was available, which is not much. Apparently the Corridor sector book was done by DPG, and I do not have access to it. Travellermap.com and Travellerwiki are invaluable.

The T5 system generation rules have proven relatively easy to inplement and apart from a minor confusion on secondary star placement, working out the system particulars has proven fun. And it is forcing me to learn how to use some software that I have had for ages.
