I think Zaru is an abbreviation for Zarushagar sector left and down from Core.
Nice place in 1105 not so nice 1125, think I would start a 10 year bender sometime around 1116
Agreed, I was thinking it that way before looking in 1125 because of the way the fluff is shaping.
The Baron -installed at 29 in 1104 at the death of his father - acheive its zenith after the "Election of 1108", when elevated to Marquis. To enhance his Marquis holding, he pushes very hard for the so called "Shoreline quota entitlement" law that help local fisherman (and provide a good quota for his new local Domain ) and upset some powerfull people in the "bigger factory-trawler is better" business. They trip him in a yet unnamed affair and force him to exile in the Spinward Marches in 1111. That is where my ideas and yours match, so I do not care much about exmin after 1111 - or any other date that simply gets established 36 years after his birth-. There he get involved in the "Milagro scheme" starting 1112 and get elevated to straight to Count in 1124 when His Lordship become patron as a Count.
That brings some questions:
Sir Selandia Ballin, Soc B on the start-up roll, could start Baron, I presume ?
Could he be elevated straight from Marquis to Count to match the Card or do I need to fluff a Viscount plot?
For the Marquis, I flufed a new (small) holding on Exmin (Marquis of Anticosti) for plot purpose How do I work the offworld holding? My discretion or is there some kind of rule that prevent me to claim downtown New-York?
Thanks,
Selandia
Count of the Spinward marches
P.S. it is not countess, for Selandia is the name of the first ocean going motorship, despite the usully female form "ia"; Ballin is for the genius that made HAPag the largest shipping co of the world before ww1
