OTU Utopia?

In another thread I postulated about places that might be identified by that tag "Utopia".

Jerry Pournelle, I think, had an interesting essay on what happens in such places. He said that there is a usually rigid moral code and ostracism for violations that everyone lives by. How boring!

Another option is a individual maturity in the inhabitants. In ATU this happens due to a psionic awakening. Think 'Star Trek' without the PC baggage.

Are there any places in the OTU that might fit this label?

A remaining high-tech world in the New Era ruled by a truely benevolent (and educated about Human desires) Mother-strain Virus might fit the bill - though this Utopia would probably have the disadvantage of a certain lack of personal indeendence. Think of most the religious depictions of Paradise - this would be similar, just with technology and a "Goddess" in the machine.
